LIBRARY STORYTIME

Registration is not required to attend. In the event of inclement weather, please check our Library Instagram and Facebook Page for delayed openings, cancelations, and closure announcements.

Age: Recommended for children ages 5 and under with a caregiver, but all children are welcome

Description: Let’s have fun with stories, songs, and rhymes.

Date(s)/Time: All storytimes will be held at the Dixon Homestead Library (180 Washington Avenue).

Family Winterfest

No registration required.

Age/Grade: All Ages

Description: Join us for games, crafts for all ages, a DJ, hot cocoa, and more winter fun!

Hot cocoa provided by the new Friends of the Library.

Please note: All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Date: Friday, January 23rd from 6:00pm - 8:00pm


Youth Book Clubs

Registration is required. Space is limited. A library card is required for registration. (If you have multiple children, please register each one individually). You will be signed up for all four dates upon registering.

Age/Grade:

Story Club (for Kindergarten - 2nd Grade)

Readers Club (for 3rd - 5th Grade)

Description: Children will read and discuss books, have fun with crafts/activities/games, and make friends through reading!

Date(s): Meets once a month from October 2025 - January 2026

Tween Glow-in-the-Dark Aurora Borealis Painting

Registration required. Space is limited. Dumont residents only.

Grade: 6th - 8th Grade

Description: Tweens will follow along with an instructor from Artytime to create a beautiful winter aurora borealis painting that glows!
