LIBRARY OF THINGS

Borrowing items from the Dumont Library of Things collection is restricted to adult Dumont cardholders with a library card in good standing (no overdue items or fines).

Library of Things items must be reserved in advance.

The Library cannot guarantee that an item will be available for same-day borrowing. Reservations using the online system, available from the button below, must be made for same-day and future borrowing of all Library of Things items.

If you cannot access the online reservation system, you can call the Library at 201-384-2030 to reserve an item.

Please note:

• Individuals must have their library card to check-out Library of Things items.

• Reservations will be automatically cancelled after 24 hours if the item has not been checked out on their scheduled date.

• Individuals are limited making a maximum of 1 reservation per day, borrowing a maximum of 3 items at once, and a maximum of 3 overall reservations.

• Patrons are not permitted to borrow the same item back-to-back.

• All pieces will be counted by staff before an item is borrowed and when it is returned. Missing pieces will result in the item staying on the patrons’ library card until all parts are returned.

• If an item is not working right, please contact the Library.

• All Library of Things items need to be returned inside the Library at the circulation desk. Do not return Library of Things items in the book drop.
